Art, architecture, and skateboarding? Not your typical combo, however, this is the latest collaboration from CARHARTT WIP Skateboarding. They have teamed up with renowned art institute Galeria Continua on a conceptual space to ride your board. Cool! The project, which is released today, centers around the building of an experimental, outdoor skate space at the gallery’s location in Boissy-le-Châtel. The snake run (shot by Maxime Verret) was created by MBL architects and Bureau D. Apheceix, using a series of free-form, artisanal techniques that allow the structure to blend in with its surrounding landscape.
A short-film, CONCRETE CATHEDRAL, supports the space and was shot by Romain Batard. The feature stars CARHARTT WIP skaters: Felipe Bartolomé, Joseph Biais, Igor Fardin, Denis Lynn, Maité Steenhoudt, Rémy Taveira, Pietro Tirelli, Sylvain Tognelli and Armand Vaucher. As well as the short-film, a capsule collection was created which you can shop here.
