This weekend is a good weekend. Because this weekend, Berlin’s beloved modern art museum Berlinische Galerie has reopened! One of their new exhibits, entitled Anything Goes?, is an historical retrospective on the noteworthy buildings around Berlin that began popping up in the 80’s, bridging two very different worlds and styles together.
The Berlinische Galerie’s website is hosting three different mobile walking tours, which feature a number of landmarks that are featured in the exhibit. The walks are roughly one hour long, and include incredible history behind the buildings you see along the way. We teamed up with Polaroid and photographer Vincenzo Forino to take the walk along Friedrichstraße, whose tour begins at Mehringplatz and extends west, ending at the palatial Friedrichstadtpalast. We love seeing how these buildings and their facets were interpreted on something as timeless as Polaroid film.
