VEJA x Rick Owens Collaborate, Go Eco-Friendly

The time is swiftly approaching: we put away the majority of our heavy winter boots (they will be missed!) and start looking for spring alternatives. Perhaps we have found one.

Legendary sneaker line VEJA has just released news of a collaboration with none other than Rick Owens. What makes these so special is their total devotion to an eco-friendly shoe. The soles are made with eucalyptus pulp, banana peel, natural rubber, and rice starch. The upper body is made from recycled plastic. All that plastic floating around the oceans is being put to good use.

We absolutely love seeing major brands jumping into the eco-conscious camp, making this much more common, and nudging other big names to do the same.

These sneakers come in 4 different color works. There is an all-black, but of course, a surprising pink, a two-toned honey, and perhaps our personal favorite, the oyster. The shoes are marked at 250EUR and hit stores today.
