I WANT TO BE CLEAR IN YOUR SIGHT is out now and the new EP by the exceptional Berlin-based musician André Uhl. The four songs are carefully crafted like dark sculptures in a swampy landscape. Gloomy, muddy and viscid, the unique sound aesthetic leads the way, slow and patient, but driving with an irresistible force. The sound takes all over you. It’s a roughly 14 minute long trip and worth every second.
André Uhl himself is a musician and futurologist living in the ever thriving Berlin. André fuses noise and synth lines and brings them together to create dark, driving, and cinematic pieces of music. With his music, he tells stories from the misty past and the twilight of the future.
The EP is released together with Weltschmerz Verlag, a creative platform based in Berlin, curated and directed by photographer Ronald Dick. Other mesmerizing contributors of the platform include Fergus Purcell, Anika, Terranova, Human Inferno, Stereo MCs, Andreas Rheise (Kreidler), Thomas Winkler and Andre Butzer.
This EP by André Uhl sees the light of day (and night) digitally and on vinyl in a strictly limited edition of 200 copies, each stamped and with handmade photo sleeves.
