New York Fashion Week has been hard at work trying to bring more attention back to itself, after being dimmed from the spotlight from the likes of Paris and Milan. Moschino and Thom Browne have both been convinced to make return to the capital for the next season’s event.
Over the years there have been an increasing amount of designers fleeing across the pond to showcase their collections, which has meant the reputation of New York as a fashion capital has been left in a state of peril. Confirmed to return to NYFW as exclusives include star designers Telfar, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, and Prabal Gurung. IMG, which will help fund and provide support 11 designers’ shows or events, has perhaps also helped to convince many of the designers to stay for 2022. As IMG put its: „The goal is ensuring a bold return and bright future” for New York Fashion Week.
