As we all know: The fashion world is no longer imaginable without collaborations. That’s why it’s even more difficult to create interesting and innovative joint ventures. But the latest collaboration between the faultless craftsmanship of Loro Piana and the guru par excellence of international streetwear, Hiroshi Fujiwara, created Italian artistry with Japanese aesthetics.
What draws attention to this new and unexpected collaboration is that the Capsule Collection fuses two worlds into one, which Fujiwara interprets in a fresh, exciting way. For Loro Piana, the designer created gender-neutral fashion with a focus on luxury: “Working with Loro Piana was totally exciting and incredibly fun,” explains Hiroshi Fujiwara, who is using his own name in a collaboration for the first time.
The result is ten new looks that feature clean lines and minimalist design. The refined restraint of Loro Piana are applied to styles that draw on Fujiwara’s design heritage: workwear jackets, distressed knitwear, graphic tees, and a series of outstanding reversible nylon outerwear pieces. It’s rounded out by an accessories offering including slogan beanies, drawstring bags, and logo socks — all in cashmere, of course.
