Art News: MARK JENKINS’ exhibition The Games That We Play…
With the exhibition “The Games That We Play… Mark Jenkins”, Ruttkowski;68 opens its new rooms at Grabbeplatz in Düsseldorf. The programme includes contemporary art by Mark Jenkins. The works of the American artist are located in the field of street art. In the exhibition “The Games That We Play…” the exhibition space becomes the scene. Jenkins’ hyper-realistic sculptural figures are supposed resemble real people and confront the viewer with their own dark sides with a touch of black humour and voyeurism. In this way, Jenkins creates nightmarish dystopian worlds between childlike play and potentially escalating such as violent actions.
C.P. COMPANY x ADIDAS
Italian menswear label C.P. Company’s birthday celebration continues. For Chapter 8, they collaborated with Adidas Spezial to give a subtle update to the sporting goods manufacturer’s Italia SPZL silhouette and a premium version of the iconic Adidas Haslingden jacket, redesigned with the C.P. Company design team.
ARKET and Tretorn launch Rainwear Capsule
Perfect for the start of autumn: Arket drops a rainwear collection in collaboration with Tretorn. The traditional Swedish company is internationally known for its mackintoshes and rubber boots and is a real expert for the harsh Nordic weather. The waterproof, sleek black raincoats and hats are made from DMF-free, water-based polyurethane (WBPU) and are as practical as chic, just right for autumn in the city. Functionality combined with Arket’s signature minimalism creates the perfect autumn wardrobe for a stroll in the city or a walk around the block with a dog (because: there are also raincoats for for your best friend!)
