The earlier resident of Berghain, now an established name in Berlins club scene and beyond, Kobosil is launching a line of elevated clubwear with a strongly localist narrative. 44 LABEL GROUP’S debut collection SCREWED UP is true to the aesthetics of Neuköllns toughest corners: robust two-sided bombers, printed shirts, heavy blend hoodies, utility trousers, and raw accessories create a symbiosis of streetwear and fashion with Fatale undertones, hinting at Berlins rough club scene. With a touch of nineties, the collection features timeless silhouettes appreciated by ravers across the world.
Leather, vinyl, and jersey, mostly in reserved colors, augmented by a pop of blood-red, rosé, and sea blue, build the authentic color palette of the garments.
Great love to the detail accompanies the visual narrative: The imposing 44 prints stand for Neukölln’s former postcode, are designed by the artist himself, let the designs become the canvas for subcultural identification.
The collection cultivates a sense of belonging, eagerly backed by faithful fans of Kobosil´s music, communicated through Berlin´s subconscious style elements merging into heavily layered unisex silhouettes.
With the pandemic shutting down capital’s techno heavens again, the artist has found a new outlet of expression, translating his vision into a different form.
The collection is showcased during Milan Men’s Fashion Week, as an official schedule participant and was premiered virtually on Jan 16th.
