GUCCI: PRESENTING THE PINEAPPLE COLLECTION
Playful yet refined, Gucci’s new decorative motif comprising a pineapple and roses is the defining element for a diverse and colorful collection of men’s ready-to-wear and accessories that hints at a new season. Fil rouge of the collection, the pineapple design recalls coats of arms associated with noble families.
Mixing collegiate and streetwear aesthetics in a palette of pastels complemented by deeper blues and greens, the Gucci Pineapple collection presents a light-hearted mood. Ready-to-wear pieces ranging from formalwear to fleece tracksuits are enriched by a patch recalling the number 22,705, the songs that include a reference to Gucci within the lyrics. Sneakers and leather accessories complement the selection, proposing the pineapple motif in a bright yellow print that stands out against the GG supreme canvas base. The Gucci Pineapple collection lives through a vibrant and light-hearted campaign captured in the jet-setting beau monde’s beloved winter escape—The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. A laid-back, highbrow mood pervades as a cast of characters unwinds and tunes into the relaxed and vividly colored setting. The collection will be showcased in Gucci stores worldwide through dedicated window displays and Pop-Ups. The product selection will also be available online at gucci.com.
BUTT RETURNS: BUTT X BOTTEGA
After 11 years of silence, BUTT magazine is relaunching next month. Supported by Bottega Veneta, which has declared its affection to the cheeky perspectives of the magazine since its origins in 2011, Butt returns with its 30th edition. Cross community solidarity and sexual freedom mark the central theme of the conversation, with a specific focus on the intergenerational exchanges occurring (and often taken for granted) in the past ten years. In Issue 30, Butt ogles at French cinema actor Félix Maritaud and catches up with queen of queer hair Holli Smith. It includes poetry and diaries, the work of artists Ajamu X and Sunil Gupta, and a super romantic cover from LA friend and photographer Clifford Prince King. 75-year-old legend AA Bronson interviews trans-male porn star Billy Vega, and 22-year- old hyperpop DJ Babynymph extols why Greek men are too discreet.
BUTT 30 will pre-launch on March 3rd in Paris with a special three-day installation at Palais de Tokyo in partnership with Bottega, the issue’s exclusive advertiser. To celebrate the occasion, Bottega Veneta and BUTT will install one of Saša J. Mächtig’s K67 Kiosks – an icon of Slovenian industrial design – for a weekend of BUTT fun. The magazine will be initially on sale in a Bottega Veneta store, but will subsequently be available in other selected stores worldwide and for order online.
