RIMOWA X DANIEL ARSHAM
Rimowa and Daniel Arsham presenting a special-edition design. In 2019, Rimowa collaborated with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham on an eroded suitcase that seemed to be taken from an archaeological dig. Daniel Arsham is a New York based artist who crosses between fine art, architecture, performance, and
film. Arsham’s iconic works deal with the past, present and future, showcasing the malleability and power of nostalgia, often through references to moments of the late 20th century. Now, the iconic German luxury luggage brand and the artist have teamed up again to create another unforgettable suitcase: a sculptural record player housed in Rimowa’s popular Pilot suitcase and is available in two variations. As an archival piece, they presenting a hand-cast turntable made of plaster and crushed glass. Similar to Arsham’s famous Future Relic series, which presented a variety of everyday objects as discoveries from a future dystopia, both the sculpture as well as the pilot case seem like an archaeological find. To ensure this, the platter is padded with a removable protective foam and comes with Art Gloves supplied. First introduced in 1994, the Rimowa Pilot Case is made of the signature grooved aluminum. Using a technique that Rimowa has refined for more than a century, aluminum has been combined with various surface treatments to lock color pigments into the metal alloy and create a durable metallic shine. A series of vintage-style logos are emblazoned on the case in an exclusive Pantone hue, that reinforces the feeling that this is a historic piece that has emerged from the past. All the usual state-of-the-art Rimowa features have been incorporated, from the groundbreaking multiwheel system to the telescopic handle.

HUMANA X 3X1 E-COMMERCE LAUNCH
3X1 presents a new project with the humanitarian association Humana People. The FW collection is specialized in Denim. They work with Candiani, their supplier of canvases (= denim mill), who also created the regenerated fabric. This upcycled fabric has been slightly stone-washed to enhance its vintage look, which we call Dirty White, while the destroyed effect exalts the light-blue weft underneath. 3×1 joined the Candiani Denim PCR Program, powered by Humana People, which aims at the revival of discarded, worn-out clothes to give them a second life through recycling. Humana People to People Italia is an independent and international humanitarian cooperation founded in 1998, on the concepts of solidarity and sustainability. For Fall-Winter 2022, 3×1 shows its creativity and designed a bunch of brand-new styles using the Ecru Grand Cru fabric, made of cotton in a natural beige colour: the Sabina Girlfriend jeans, the Sorting jacket, the Helix Flip jeans, the Diana jeans, the Diana Bermuda and the Carter shorts. The entire process affects every single step of the supply chain, making the circularity of the production, from dismissed fabrics to upcycled premium denim, concrete and avoiding any waste. The recycled fabrics offer enhanced strength and durability , while the distinctive 3×1 design makes the denims a real desirable piece.

Måneskin is an Italian rock band from Rome, known for their participation in the casting show X Factor in 2017. The accompanying video shows the band at a funeral. The mood is quite gloomy and dark, which is reinforced by the rain. Måneskin’s wardrobe includes dark formal suits, tailored evening shirts, patent leather pants, a lace bodysuit, a black chiffon cape with tulle and leather flower detail as well as leather and vinyl accessories. THE LONELIEST is a dramatic track, more precisely a sad breakup ballad, that convinces with personal and emotional feelings. The video is written and Directed by Tommaso Ottomano .

DR. MARTENS x RICK OWENS
Dr. Martens and Rick Owens presenting a new collaboration: The 1460 8-Eye Boot and the Rick Owens 1918 boot. When Dr. Martens first collaborated with futuristic rock label Rick Owens a year ago, two defining aesthetics of the ’90s collided. The non-conformist spirit of this special coalition is finally coming together again: just in time for the fall/winter 2022 season, Dr. Martens and Rick Owens are launching a reinterpreted collection of their shared subcultural underground DNA. Owens, known for his post-apocalyptic fashion and garments as eccentric as they are architectural, puts an explosive spin on classic Dr. Martens boots. Both the iconic 1460 and the towering 18-East 1918 boot run on a 2″ quad retro sole. An oversized raised tongue and heavy side zippers, along with Owens’ signature dramatic wraparound laces, form a reference to the energetic, non-conformist statement wardrobe that defines both brands. The 1460 8-Eye Boot shines with contrasting laces and extra-wide eyelets in a matte silver finish. The black AirWair heel strap features tonal lettering to match – the frame with signature yellow Dr. Martens stitching completes the shoe. The entire upper of the Rick Owens 1918 Boot is made of an eye-catching platinum-dyed hair-on leather that makes the shoe unique. The pearlized laces, eyelets and hook bars in a matte silver finish, as well as the black and pearlized heel loop, support the statement boot’s exceptionality; the signature yellow stitching solidifies the visual Dr. Martens heritage.
