Romy Miller (Nicole Kidman), a driven and powerful CEO of a rising stock market company, seems to have the perfect life: married to a theatre director (Antonio Banderas), the couple enjoys life together with their two daughters. However her balance of private and professional life shifts, when the new intern Samuel (Harris Dickinson) arrives at her company. Samuel’s youthful confidence, bursting all rules, not only challenges Romy’s dominant character but also sparks a deep, forbidden fire within her. As the affair between the two intensifies, Romy slowly loses control, pushing all boundaries of both her career and her marriage.
Directed by Halina Reijn, known for her creative exploration of social taboos and power struggles in films like “Instinct” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies”, “Babygirl” continues to be another captivating deep dive into these topics.
