Ballet Sur_real by DANCÆ brings Modalities of Me to Monopol Berlin, an immersive performance blending dance, installation, and electronic music.
Ballet Sur_real by DANCÆ presents Modalities of Me — a multisensory performance exploring deeply hidden aspects of the self within an increasingly complex world. From September 17 to 21, Monopol Berlin transforms the former distillery into an immersive stage where dance, installation, and electronic music merge into a singular experience.
Five figures embody different states of being — power, chaos, duplicity, fragility, and wildness — engaging not only with one another but also with the expansive installation by Encor Studio and the architecture of Monopol. Light, glass, and electrochromic films respond to the environment in real time, while the dancers reflect the dynamics of our social and emotional realities.
The choreography by Soraya Schulthess and Renato De Leon fuses classical ballet with electronic music, while immersive light and spatial concepts create an intense, sensorial experience. A special highlight is the new solo by Tess Völker, former dancer of Nederlands Dans Theater, which powerfully explores presence and personal memory.
Performance dates:
Sept 17 – 8:00 pm [Wed]
Sept 18 – 8:00 pm [Thu]
Sept 19 – 8:45 pm [Fri]
Sept 20 – 6:00 pm [Sat]
Sept 21 – 3:00 pm [Sun]
Tickets for Modalities of me can be purchased here.
Venue: Monopol Berlin, Provinzstraße 40–44, 13409 Berlin
An intense, immersive experience that unites dance, sound, and installation into a powerful performance — a lasting encounter that resonates far beyond the moment.
