TO WATCH “PILLION” BY HARRY LIGHTON

PILLION- AN EXPLORATION OF EMPOWERMENT THROUGH DEGREDATION, PURPOSE AND ACCEPTANCE

Colin, a directionless man comes across the mysterious and impossibly handsome biker Ray, that takes him on as his submissive. A look into the fascinating world of BDSM arrangements and an exploration of empowerment, love, intimacy and discovery. Pillion is intriguing, strange, beautiful and hot.

Based on the novel Box-Hill by Adam Mars-Jones, Harrys Lightons first feature film was awarded best debut for screenwriter by British Independent Film Awards, and rightfully so. It rides the line of a dark comedy and heart tugging drama. With moments where you don’t know whether to feel upset or laugh.

The soundtrack of the film made a special impact with iconic music, spanning from 50s jazz and classics, to modern day dance music. It accompanies you throughout out the film, the contrasting mix of unfamiliar situations and scenes paired with familiar music makes for a great, slightly unsettling, yet endearing watching experience.

The film leaves you with questions of relationships, love, purpose and a strong need to purchase a biker jacket!

Pillion is out in German theatres march 26th.
