Together, We Ride: Levi’s Reclaims the Queer Biker Legacy for Pride 2026
Levi’s Looks to Queer Motorcycle History for Pride 2026
For its Pride 2026 collection, Levi’s is turning away from the increasingly familiar visual language of rainbow branding and instead looking toward a lesser-known chapter of queer history: the motorcycle clubs that emerged as spaces of protection, solidarity, and self-expression during the early years of the LGBTQIA+ rights movement.
Titled Together, We Ride, the collection draws inspiration from the queer biker communities that carved out their own networks of belonging at a time when visibility often came with significant risk. More than social groups, these clubs functioned as chosen families, creating spaces where identity could be lived openly and collectively.
The collection translates this history into a wardrobe built around coated denim, metal hardware, leather-inspired finishes, and archival graphics sourced from the GLBT Historical Society. Among the key pieces are a patched Pride Trucker Jacket, studded Pride 501 jeans, biker-inspired chaps and vests, as well as graphic tees featuring references to motorcycle club insignia and community symbolism.
What makes the collection notable is its focus on a subculture that has often remained at the margins of mainstream Pride narratives. Rather than positioning Pride solely as a celebration, Levi’s frames it as an ongoing act of visibility and resilience, acknowledging the communities that helped create spaces of safety long before corporate support became commonplace.
The aesthetic itself leans heavily into classic American biker iconography, but avoids becoming purely nostalgic. Studded details, leather-look surfaces, enamel pins, bandanas, and club-style patches are combined with contemporary silhouettes, creating a collection that feels rooted in history while remaining relevant to a younger audience.
Alongside the launch, Levi’s will continue its annual support of LGBTQIA+ advocacy through a $100,000 donation to Outright International, an organization working to advance LGBTQIA+ rights globally.
The Pride 2026 collection will launch globally through Levi’s stores and online channels later this year. Whether consumers engage with the historical references or simply the visual language of the collection, Together, We Ride serves as a reminder that fashion’s relationship with Pride remains most compelling when it connects clothing to the communities and histories that shaped it.
