HERE IS THE SEA – ASPESI X NUGNES
ASPESI and Nugnes explore the sea of Trani through the people, places and everyday stories shaped by it. At the heart of the project is a limited-edition 13PIÙ shirt, reinterpreted exclusively for Nugnes with a hidden “marine tattoo” inside, inspired by Trani and its maritime heritage.
Photographer Piero Percoco captures local fishermen and residents along the coast and harbour, creating an intimate portrait of life by the sea. The project was presented at Palazzo Pugliese in Trani on September 17, bringing together photography, fashion and a celebration of the region’s authentic Mediterranean character.
SOREL X NEEDLES
Japanese label NEEDLES reinterprets two silhouettes for SOREL’s AMBLER™ collection, bringing its distinct design language to the Waterproof Chukka Boot and Waterproof Clog. For both styles NEEDLES’ signature purple meets black detailing and bold proportions across both silhouettes.
The collaboration merges NEEDLES’ distinct subcultural aesthetic and Japanese craftsmanship with SOREL’s outdoor DNA, resulting in a playful take on functional footwear that balances statement design with weather-ready functionality.
BERLIN’S CLUB CULTURE, STAYING CORE
From October 2–11, Berlin’s club scene takes over the city for the seventh edition of TAG DER CLUBKULTUR. With 130 events across the city, this year’s festival is its biggest edition since 2020, bringing together more than 110 clubs, collectives and initiatives for raves, concerts, performances, exhibitions, talks and workshops.
Under the theme STAY CORE, the festival explores what keeps club culture alive as spaces become increasingly difficult to maintain. The week also sees the announcement of 32 TAG DER CLUBKULTUR award recipients, with a total of €410,000 in prize money across the categories Space & Aesthetics, Programme and Community.
REFERENCE FESTIVAL: FREIE KUNST
From October 22–25, REFERENCE FESTIVAL makes its Paris debut during Art Basel Paris, expanding the Berlin-born festival into a multi-city cultural platform. Under this year’s theme FREIE KUNST the festival explores the relationship between freedom and creative expression.
Across Paris, a programme of exhibitions, performances, installations, screenings, talks and workshops will bring together voices from art, fashion, music and design. The first announced participants include Hans Ulrich Obrist, Klaus Biesenbach, Donna Huanca, Julian Charrière, Bjarne Melgaard, Dozie Kanu, Shayne Oliver, Florentina Holzinger, Eartheater, Bill Kouligas and Richie Hawtin, with more artists and projects to follow.
WELCOME BACK, ANDY
For the new season, Jérôme Dreyfuss brings back one of the house’s signature silhouettes: the bucket bag. With Andy, the designer reinterprets the classic through his signature French négligé attitude – relaxed, understated and effortlessly chic.
Defined by its generous proportions and soft, structured shape, Andy is designed for everyday life, combining functionality with refined details. A leather drawstring allows easy access to the spacious interior, while the adjustable shoulder strap makes the bag adaptable from lightweight jackets to winter coats.
