BEHIND THE SCENES – 032C AUTUMN/WINTER 2024

Maria Koch of 032c expressed her reluctance to emphasize the concept of timelessness during the preview of her new collection, deeming it excessive within the fashion realm.

The 032c ready-to-wear collection made its debut in Paris, marking a significant milestone for the team. Koch stated that she aimed to develop a versatile urban uniform for the fall, successfully executed through leather outerwear and separately worn pieces. Denim pieces in various colors oversprayed with black, as well as nylon trousers with a wool-like appearance, also garnered positive attention. However, the collection faced challenges with slim-cut jersey styles and tailoring requiring more precise cuts and proportional adjustments. Koch emphasized the importance of preserving and advancing 032c’s distinctive aesthetic.

The concept of anti-timelessness emerged for Koch while reading a review of Victor Man’s work, described as modern but detached from notions of history, present, or future. She rejects the idea of timelessness, emphasizing that her contemporary collection is neither classic nor traditional but captures the spirit of the present.
