BEHIND THE SCENES – KIDILL AUTUMN/WINTER 2024

In August 2023, the news of Jamie Reid’s passing, the renowned British artist behind Sex Pistols’ distinctive covers, profoundly affected Hiroaki Sueyasu, the artistic director of Kidill, who regarded Jamie as his creative starting point.

Sueyasu expressed the void left by Jamie’s departure and stressed the ongoing responsibility to uphold the core of punk, asserting its eternal nature. The Fall-Winter 2024 collection embodies punk’s essence through DIY-inspired elements, Japanese artisan craftsmanship, and a blend of early punk aesthetics with contemporary design, illustrating Sueyasu’s dedication to the enduring legacy of punk as a symbol of dissent, rebellion, and individuality.
