PRADA WOMEN’S AND MEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2024 CAMPAIGN DAYS OF PRADA
In times of invented narratives and advertised lifestyles, the Prada Spring/Summer 2024 campaign signals a reassertion of timeless priorities. Fashion is about clothes, within life, encapsulated in the living procession of the fashion show. Here, the narrative of that typically transient moment is amplified, extended for an entire season. This campaign utilizes Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’ September runway presentation as a catalyst for an exploration of the ecosystem of the fashion show, its complex plurality simultaneously expressive of individuality and community, the momentary and the eternal. The medium becomes the message – part of a constant search for answers to fundamental questions, around the role of fashion in our everyday lives.

FENDI COLLABORATES WITH HIROSHI FUJIWARA’S FRAGMENT FEATURING A SPECIAL COLLECTION WITH POKÉMON FOR THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON
“I first met Hiroshi Fujiwara in London in 1999 – and what can I say? He’s one of my idols and I love him. He’s an instigator of the Japanese club scene, its youth fashion scene and its streetwear scene. I have been in love with Japan for a long time; its influence on me and what I do is huge – Hiroshi is a major part of that,” says Kim Jones, FENDI Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear. “Our bag shapes are a logo themselves; they are so representative of the House. While our workmanship is another important part of our iconography. At the same time, we never want to be too precious with either – we enjoy celebrating both in new ways! It’s a living history that Hiroshi Fujiwara adds to with both FRGMT and Pokémon; he’s taken our handbags and made them into mini pop monuments,” says Silvia Venturini Fendi, FENDI Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear.

AXEL ARIGATO – RE-INTRODUCING THE SPHERE RUNNER AS SEEN ON LILY MCMENAMY
Axel Arigato’s Sphere Runner, shot on Lily McMenamy, is designed to capture dynamic lines of motion in an iconic 90s-inspired silhouette. The handcrafted model is made from curved panels of Leather Working Group certified leather, alongside honeycomb mesh panelling and suede. The brand’s latest campaign features the Sphere Runner in four new colourways and casts actress, model and dancer Lily McMenamy as its lead. Lily’s fluid body movements are lensed, with contorted, dance-inspired poses that reflect the sneaker’s graphic lines. The Sphere Runner also incorporates a chunky sole, toe and tongue branding and additional metallic touch points. The sneaker is available in new neutral colourways including jade & white, light blue & navy, beige & grey and tone-on-tone grey. The campaign also features pieces from the soon to be released Axel Arigato SS24 collection – which also takes influence from the body in motion. Twisted-hem shirting and an interchangeable length trench coat puts fabric in motion, conveying notions of dance.
