Electrifying Elegance – Maserati at Formula E in Berlin
Last Sunday, Berlin’s Tempelhof Field once again transformed into a futuristic arena of high voltage, high tech, and high speed: the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returned to the German capital – and Numéro Berlin was right at the heart of it, alongside Maserati MSG Racing. Amid futuristic electric engines, urban festival vibes, and a crowd that could feel the pulse of tomorrow, one thing became clear: Formula E is no longer just a motorsport event. It’s a stage for technological visions, a platform for sustainable mobility, and an aesthetic statement for the next generation of automotive design.
Luxury Meets Transformation
That Maserati, a name synonymous with Italian elegance and automotive tradition, is now competing in the fully electric racing series marks more than just a shift in image. It is a bold, symbolic step toward the future. As the first Italian luxury carmaker to enter Formula E, Maserati is sending a powerful message: the era of combustion-only engines is over. Today, luxury and sustainability no longer stand in opposition – in fact, they elevate one another.
With a clearly defined goal of offering only electric or hybrid models by 2030, Maserati views Formula E not only as a competitive arena but also as a testing ground for innovation. Technologies developed and pushed to their limits on the track are intended to directly influence future production models. Motorsport thus becomes the intersection of performance, progress, and design – and Maserati positions itself as a pioneer of an era where speed is not only thrilling but also sustainable.
