Tyla’s new album A*POP is set for release, and Numéro Berlin invited guests to an intimate private listening session ahead of its official release on 24 July. After hits like “Water“ reaching billions of streams, the upcoming album playfully blends amapiano, pop and R&B, becoming a vibrant love letter to African pop music. Hosted at Tylko Space Berlin, the evening’s intimate setting provided the perfect backdrop to experience the new tracks. 

Among the guests getting a first taste of A*POP were Luke Raine, The Mik Brothers, Jacob Rott, Luis Freitag, Ting Ting, Tim Schäker, Nic Kaufmann, Clara and many more. Tyla also stars as one of the cover personalities of Numéro Berlin’s latest issue, SEXY, photographed by none other than Aus Taylor, who was also present at the event.

After listening to the full album, Jenny Augusta moderated a conversation with Tyla where the Grammy-winning artist described A*POP as „the kind of pop album I always wanted to create.“.
