Helena Narra is a hair and make-up stylist, creative consultant, and brand ambassador for John Frieda – in short, a true creative all-rounder. Based in Berlin, she moves fluidly between the worlds of beauty, editorial, and brand work, lending her eye to everything from single looks to full campaigns.

Driven by a desire to lift up emerging talent, Helena recently organized an event built around one goal: giving up-and-coming creatives a platform to experiment, collaborate, and grow. For that she invited seven, mostly Germany-based artist specialized in hair, but also in make up and nails. Tanya Gravina, Samir Krndc, Arelia Braga de Matos, Emily Schembera, Samantha Pottmaier, Rafael del Gado and Marija Pavleka have all been establishing themselves within the industry in the past years, building diverse portfolios from runway looks at fashion weeks over to abstract editorials and leading magazine covers. For this editorial, they all knew how to  add their personal touch to the series.

BaByliss, the Parisian hair care brand supported the project especially with their curler collection. The team set out to achieve a distinctive, unique curly look – one that celebrates texture rather than taming it.

The resulting editorial was styled by Alex Heckel and Sasha Tulen, who translated Helena’s vision into a strikingly abstract series of images. Throughout, the hair remains the true centerpiece, its different structures explored and showcased in every frame – a celebration of shape, movement, and individuality.
